Powertex

John Glossop

Powertex Certified Tutor

Level 1,2,3 and 3D Flex.

FULLY TRAINED IN POWERTEX

I am happy to announce that I am now fully accredited to teach Powertex workshops.

Powertex is a unique fabric hardening system, designed to work on natural absorbent substrates for example: Cotton, Calico, Denim, Paper and Card, which when cured allows you to put the treated objects outside.

The Powertex Fabric Hardening and Sculpting System is a combination of liquids, powders and pigments, which when added to natural fibres gives a hard, waterproof finish. (With the exception of Powertex Clear Hardener).

It can be used for making fabric sculptures, making clay, Stone effects, mixed media and altered art.

To try out this wonderfully versatile product, come along to one of my workshops.

I do half day ( 3 hour ) and full day ( 6 hour) projects.

Small, Medium or Large Groups can be catered for.

No crafting experience necessary, all levels are welcome.

John Glossop's Adventures in Powertex

My First Powertex Statue

I absolutely love this piece, this was my first statue made during my Tutor Training at Powertex UK Head office, The Statue is made using a combination of Natural Fabrics and Powertex Bronze hardener .
The base is an upturned  wooden Planter coated to make it look like Stone a variation of another accreditation piece using Powertex ivory hardener and Powertex Stone a Powder.

If you Would like to learn how to do one of these statues or learn any of the techniques using Powertex products in the UK please feel free to message me, if I can't help you out I will direct you to the relevant person .

Happy 'Texing

  1. Your Powertex creations are fabulous John and congratulations on becoming a fully fledged Tutor.
I first saw Powertex on Hochanda and Tracy made it look so easy I just had to buy the starter kit. Sadly it's still in the box. Wish you lived closer to Scotland as I would definitely attend a workshop. I particularly love the canvas as and use of 3D flex.

    Thanks for sharing
    Annie 😀

    1. Hi Annie, thank you for your nice words. We usually have a weeks holiday in Scotland in September if you and a few friends are interested maybe we could organise something?
